Congress, don't let kids watch pop stars drink their own bodily fluids on the tube.

That's the latest complaint at least from the Parents Television Council, which is blasting MTV for airing an episode last night of Ke$ha's new reality show, Ke$ha: My Crazy Beautiful Life, in which the shock star drank her own pee.

In a letter posted on the watchdog website, PTC president Tim Winter urged members to lobby elected officials to pass a Cable Choice bill that would empower consumers to select the kind of programming they desire from cable providers—not the kind that's, um, hard to swallow.

"If given the opportunity, I can't imagine that parents would want to pay for a cable network that airs an episode of a pop star drinking her own urine, and that is why Congress needs to take seriously the idea of giving consumers the ability to choose and pay for only the cable networks they want," wrote Winter.

He continued: "Before critics say that parents can just ‘change the channel,' they miss the larger point. It is an outrage that this kind of disgusting, vile content is being subsidized by each and every cable subscriber."

The group's head honcho also cited a bipartisan coalition—from Republican Sen. John McCain to even liberal political blogs like Daily Kos—who have been pushing the cause.

"We should all have the ability to choose and pay for only the channels we want to watch, but the cable industry won't let that happen without a fight," said Winter, adding that he hoped the episode will be the catalyst for a "needed change" in the law.

In the controversial episode, Ke$sha talked about her desire to get in "kickass shape" for her new music video and, after hearing that drinking your own urine is good for you, proceeds to fill up an empty water bottle and take a swig.

A rep for MTV could not be reached for comment. Ke$sha: My Crazy Beautiful Life meanwhile continues to air  on Tuesdays at 11 p.m.
