Big engagement ring equals big wedding day? Not so fast!

Kevin Hart wowed his leading lady Eniko Parrish last summer when he proposed with a stunning piece of bling. But as the couple gears up for their upcoming wedding, they're trying to keep things a bit more intimate and personal.

"Small, small and small definitely," the actor told E! News exclusively at the Verizon booth inside the Essence Festival. "It's definitely about us not making a big masquerade. It's not my style or cup of tea. It will be something special, just a day to be remembered just for us!"

There's just one thing we should point out. Hart also admitted that his soon-to-be wife is in total control of the planning. And as the comedian reminded us: "A happy wife is a happy life."

"My wedding is coming up soon. I don't like to talk about it cause I don't know details," he admitted. "What I do say is, ‘Honey, you have an amount. Don't go above the amount. Come to me when it's time to sign the check. It's your day to be happy.'"

He continued, "That's what I have learned. You throw your hands up!" LOL!

As the special day approaches, Parrish can count on her man to be in pretty incredible shape. In fact, Hart's co-star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson could be the man responsible for an improved physique. Once filming began for their upcoming film Central Intelligence, Hart knew he had to step up his fitness.

"He is one of the most in shape people I have ever been around," he confessed. "I think when you surround yourself with the people who live the life of fitness,  it rubs off on you."

Beginning at 5 a.m., Hart wakes up and runs three miles. He later focuses on his core before a little light weight work.

"It's all about the naked walk away," Hart joked when sharing his motivation to sweat so hard. "That's the best way to put it. Naked walk away."
