Hello there, Bryce Harper!

Harper, a 22 year-old outfielder for the Washington Nationals strips down in the new ESPN magazine's Body Issue, the shirtless ball player showing off his abs of steel on the cover. Thank us later, if this is the first you're hearing about Bryce Harper. Here are five facts you need to know about the naked cover star:

1. He's a Mama's Boy: Don't mess with his mom's cooking! Especially her cookies. Harper tells the mag, "My mom's cookies are unbelievable. So what I do: I'll put the cookies inside the microwave for, like, 12 seconds. It's got to be 12 seconds. And then I'll grab the ice cream and I'll make an ice cream sandwich. And I mean it's unbelievable." In addition to cookies, he says he also loves donuts. Of course he has a strict diet, but who doesn't love a "cheat" meal filled with cookies, donuts and ice cream?

3. He Can Serenade You: In addition to sizzling on the magazine cover, he also plays guitar. We're not sure how well, but he plays guitar, OK?

4. He'll Keep You Safe: We can also sleep soundly, knowing that in his time off the field, Harper and his nephew fight crime to keep the city safe.

5. He's Breaking Records: Aside from his good looks that are on full display in the Body Issue, which will be available online July 6 and on newsstands July 10, he's an incredible baseball player. Harper's list of awards and accolades are quite lengthy especially given how young he is. On May 6, Harper hit three home runs in a single game for the first time in his MLB career with one of the shots going 442 feet. Harper became the youngest player to accomplish this feat in 45 years.

In the issue, Harper is joined by NBA stars Kevin Love of the Cleveland Cavaliers and DeAndre Jordan of the Los Angeles Clippers, New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., two-time WNBA All-Star Brittney Griner, soccer star Ali Krieger, gymnast Aly Raisman, swimmer Natalie Coughlin and newly crowned French Open champion Stan Wawrinka.
