"Well now, what shall we dress you in?"

It looks like Broadway actress Audra McDonald may be taking over the lovable role of the singing wardrobe in Disney's live- action adaption of Beauty and the Beast.

The 44-year-old is in talks to join an impressive cast including Emma Watson (Belle), Dan Stevens (The Beast), Luke Evans as the narcassistic Gaston and Josh Gad who will be playing Gaston's witty sidekick Le Fou.

Bill Condon will direct the live-action film and base it closely on the 1991 animated classic that many hold near and dear to their hearts.

For those who have forgotten, Wardrobe first meets Belle in the after she is imprisoned in the Beast's castle. Jo Anne Worley voiced the animated character.

McDonald has already won six Tonys, three of which by the age of 28, for her work in A Raisin in the Sun, Ragtime and Carousel, among other roles.

Her recent Tony wins include Best Performance by an Actress in a Musical for Porgy and Bess in 2012, as well as Best Performance by an Actress in a Play for her 2014 role in Emerson's Bar and Grill.

Hollywood Reporter first broke the news that if McDonald does get cast in Beauty, she will be playing Garderobe, which is a French translation of the word wardrobe.

Production for the film is set to begin in May at the Shepperton Studios in London.

When it's completed, the cast is surely to say, "Be our guest, be our guest, be our guest!"
