Friday just got even better…Disney has released never-before-seen clips and outtakes from Aladdin, featuring one of our all-time favorite characters: Robin Williams as the Genie.

The much loved film changed the landscape of motion picture animations forever—even winning an Oscar for "A Whole New World"—when it was released in 1992. Now, 23 years later, the release of the "diamond edition" Blu-ray pack will bring fans unseen moments from the Disney vault, showing Williams' passion and dedication in the recording booth while voicing the iconic Genie.

The team behind Aladdin joined Good Morning America on Friday to chat about the digital re-release as well as discuss Williams' impact on the film. When asked about choosing the late actor—who died on Aug. 11, 2014—for the voice of Genie, screenplay writers Ron Clements and John Musker both agreed there was simply no one else who could do it.

"We wrote the part with Robin in mind, but we didn't know if he would do it," Musker explained. "Fortunately for us, he did, [but] we were totally walking down the plank. If he said no, we were in big trouble because the whole concept was built around Robin."

Clements adds, "There was no one else that could be the Genie and fortunately he agreed to do it. And he worked so hard. We recorded him in four hour sessions, and he would be going four hours straight… by the end he was just drenched. He had so much energy and so much passion."

Animator Eric Goldberg also notes that Williams' presence was a gift in itself. "Aside from being funny as anything, he was such a warm person," he says. "He was the Genie—it was bigger than life."

Meanwhile, Lea Salonga and Brad Kane also got to chatting about their own important roles in the film, which was voicing one of the most famous songs of all time, "A Whole New World."

When asked about the Oscar-winning tune, Salonga says she still sings it for special moments in people's lives.

"I actually sang it with, at the time he was my boyfriend, now he's my husband," she explains. "We have actually sung it for people that have gotten engaged. We would be hiding with wireless microphones and we would sing 'A Whole New World,' and they would just start crying."

Kane adds, "After I recorded the song with Lea, I didn't sing it with anyone else until my wife at our wedding. It was the only other Jasmine I ever sang with."

And as if that isn't already putting a cherry on top of your morning, Jonathan Freeman, the voice of Jafar, made sure to give the audience a big smile by perfectly reciting his favorite line: "My most abject and humble apology, your majesty."

The Aladdin Diamond Edition Blu-Ray Pack will be available in stores on Tuesday, complete with all of the never-before-seen moments.
