Talking about how you have to sex up your image is awesome. Talking about how you have to sex up your image while your dad is next to you? Kind of awkward.

That's basically what happened when Meghan Trainor on E!'s Live From the Red Carpet: The 2016 iHeartRadio Music Awards, because she once again brought her dad as her date.

First Jason Kennedy made sure to play them some footage from Trainor's sexy new video for her new single "No," which was probably kind of like watching a steamy movie scene with your parents next to you. Except you are starring in the steamy scene. Then Meghan started talking about how she has to heat up her image for her second album, and poor dad and stand by and try not to look uncomfortable while his daughter talked about how sexy she wants to be.

"The first album I was just getting used to being so public and having my picture taken literally everywhere. So now the second album I'm trying to be sexy with it. I'm trying to get comfortable with my sexy side," she said, before looking at her blushing father and laughing. "What's up, dad?"

"Are you OK with that, dad?" Jason asked.

I guess I'm gonna have to be!" Mr. Trainor answered, still looking a little red in the face.

Fortunately, talk quickly moved onto Meghan's dating life, which was a little bit of a safer topic.

"It's very simple. They don't come up [to me]. They're probably scared or intimidated," hshe said. "That's fine. I'm waiting for the right one. He's close. I don't think he's close. I'm 22. I'm fine with it."

"She's got plenty of time to look around," her dad jumped in. "I'm not worried about it."

Trainor is nominated tonight for Best Collaboration for her song "Like I'm Gonna Lose You" with John Legend and Female Artist of the Year.
