It's a Sex and the City mini reunion! And an unusual one.

Kim Catrall who played Samantha Jones on the hit HBO series and films, spent the Thanksgiving holiday attending the opening of a photographic exhibition, titled Dancing Away, created by none other than Mikhail Baryshnikov, who played main character Carrie Bradshaw's lover Aleksandr Petrovsky, aka "The Russian." The two were photographed together at the event at ContiniArtUK in London on Thursday.

The actor, whose nickname is Misha, is also a ballet dancer who has performed and worked for the American Ballet Theatre, founder of the Baryshnikov Arts Centre in New York and a longtime photographer. Baryshnikov had photographed mostly landscapes and portraits for more than 20 years and in 2006, he began to concentrate on taking professional pictures of dancers, according to The New York Times.

Baryshnikov's character, an older, dashing but selfish artist prone to horrific mood swings, appeared on nine episodes of the final sixth season of the raunchy and wildly popular HBO show, which aired in 2004 and still airs in syndication. He and Carrie, played by Sarah Jessica Parker, begin a fast-paced romance and gets off on the wrong foot when it comes to charming her friends, Samantha, Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) and Charlotte (Kristin Davis).

For starters, he stands them up, telling Carrie over the phone, as she and her gal pals sit and wait at an Asian Fusion restaurant, that he can't stop working on his art for an upcoming exhibit in Paris. Carrie, who has become super submissive, makes excuses for him and she and her friends brighten up when a waiter brings over a bottle of Champagne that the Russian had sent over. Expensive drink, cheap trick.

He does end up meeting them, although not in the best circumstances; Carrie has the bright idea to schlep her fellow drunken pals over to his loft and bother him while he's working.

Needless to say, it doesn't over well.

They all make up and play nice at an awkward dinner party complete with awkward announcements; Samantha revealsthat she thinks her maid is using her vibrator and The Russian says that Carrie is moving to Paris with him.

Despite his villain-like character on Sex and the City, Parker, like Cattrall, has also supported the actor in real life. Seven months after the series finale, in September 2004, the former actress joined Baryshnikov at the opening of a New Bottega Veneta Store to Benefit his Baryshnikov Arts Center.

Since then, there have since been several mini Sex and the City reunions, most recently in 2012. That January, Cattrall joined Nixon at an after party following the opening of the Broadway play Wit. The latter star, who played a poetry professor battling cancer, sported a shaved head. On Sex and the City, Cattrall's character also shaved her blonde locks while undergoing treatment for breast cancer.

Also in 2012, in September, Chris Noth, who plays Carrie's main love interest Mr. Big, joined Davis backstage at a revival of the Broadway play Gore Vidal's The Best Man. Davis made her Broadway debut as Mabel Cantwell.

The last time all four main Sex and the City ladies reunited was in June 2010, at the premiere of the movie Sex and the City 2 in Japan. The movie was released days earlier.
