According to The Mirror, Zayn Malik is being offered about half a million dollars to record one song for an upcoming Bollywood movie.
The 21-year-old is being wooed by bosses who believe his global appeal will bring plenty of excitement to a blockbuster soundtrack.
"One Direction has a huge following among the youth, especially in major cities," a Bollywood producer told the publication. "Zayn Malik is very well-known in that circle and holds tremendous promise if given the right break in a Bollywood film."
And while many fans know the former X-Factor contestant for his singing abilities, one movie insider claims Malik could be heading to the big screen as well.
"One very big production company is putting together an offer for him to act as well as sing," a movie insider revealed. "He has turned down one song so far but if the right one comes along it could be great for him."
Snoop Dogg and Kylie Minogue are just some of the talented singers who have used their voices for Bollywood productions in recent years.
While reports continue to swirl, Malik is remaining devoted to One Direction. Just last week, the boy band revealed Danny DeVito will star in their new music video for "Steal My Girl."
"Can't believe that Hollywood Royalty @DannyDevito is in the steal my girl video! What a legend!" Niall Horan shared on Twitter.
