Amid rumors that a Sex and the City 3 may be in the works, Chris Noth is reminiscing over his time playing Mr. Big on the boob tube.

The 59-year-old thesp, who now stars opposite Julianna Margulies on the hit CBS series The Good Wife, shared how many fans still compare his current character Illinois Governor Peter Florrick—a devoted family man with questionable morals—to his former role that brought him immense fame.

"Even with The Good Wife people accuse me of always playing powerful men. But they're flawed," he told News.com.au. "Big was powerful because he had a lot of money and he seemed to have the upper hand in the relationship, but emotionally he was a wreck.

"Actually, no: he was what he was," he continued. "One of the things I tell people is that he never tried to pretend he was anything other than what he was. It was [Carrie] who tried to pretend he was something he wasn't."

He went on to poke fun at Bradshaw for her never-ending string of men (she dated at least 24 guys!) while praising Sarah Jessica Parker's character for being a strong-willed woman.

"The relationship just didn't work, and he [Mr. Big] went on to get married while she went on to—how many boyfriends did she have? She was such a whore!" he joked. "There's a misconception that Carrie was a victim of him, and that's not the case—she was a strong, smart woman."

As fans of the series know, Big and Bradshaw ultimately found wedding bliss together at the end of the first Sex and the City flick and while the first film killed at the box office, the follow-up movie received less than favorable reviews.

"I don't think it was a bomb," Noth said of the critically savaged sequel. "But I think because they're greedy, it didn't make as much money as they wanted...I think it was considered an indulgence and a distraction because it hit right when the recession happened. People were like, 'Who gives a f--k about these broads going to Dubai when we can't pay our mortgage?'"

Noth believes it was a mistake for the ladies to leave NYC as "New York is an integral part of that show"

"The critical response was overwhelmingly negative," he said. "There was not one good review of that film. Not one. And I think it was very hurtful for the girls, because [the reviews] got personal."

While Noth didn't have any specifics to dish on the Sex and the City 3 rumors, he did admit that Sarah Jessica Parker and Kristin Davis have been "very naughty" for crypitally tweeting and teasing fans.

"The tweets! I can't believe those girls are tweeting," he said. "I don't go near Twitter, it's all bulls--t. I'll believe it when they say ‘Action!' and until then I don't pay any attention. Sure, I've heard rumors, but they've been sayin' that s--t for 10 years. It'd be a great thing, but for now it's all just Tweety-pie s--t."

The actor also noted that it would be difficult to "reinvent" Sex and the City more than 16 years after the show first debuted. "You've got Girls now, which is much tougher and more realistic….I'm not sure there'd be an appetite for it?" he mused. "It's kind of had its day. He'd [Sex and the City writer Michael Patrick King] have to be really smart to make it relevant. I mean, we're all getting older…What would it be? 'Carrie, goddamnit, my bladder!'"
