Amber Heard was photographed leaving a Los Angeles courthouse on Friday after filing a request for a domestic violence restraining order against Johnny Depp, which was later granted by the judge.

The photograph shows the somber actress stepping out of the courthouse with a visible bruise on the right side of her face. Heard kept her eyes down and hands clasped as she made her way through the crowd.

E! News confirmed earlier today that the judge granted her request for a temporary restraining order against her soon-to-be ex-husband.

According to the documents obtained by E! News, the order requires Depp to stay 100 yards away from Heard until a hearing next month. The judge also gave Heard the right to live in the family home.

However, the judge denied some of Heard's other requests, including having Depp stay away from one of her dogs, because there was an "insufficient showing of need to protect pet dog," according to the judge.

E! News has reached out to their reps for comment.

Depp is currently in Lisbon, Portugal, with Hollywood Vampires attending a charity event to support the Starkey Hearing Foundation, as part of a hearing health care mission, prior to their Rock in Rio Lisboa concert.

While in court, Heard offered a photograph, which has been obtained by E! News, of the star showing what looked to be a bruise on her right eye.

When asked why she chose to file the domestic violence restraining order while Depp was away touring with the band and promoting Alice Through the Looking Glass, a source told E! News, "This is not about right now. It's an ongoing thing that she needs protection from."

"She did what she had to do to protect herself," the source added. "It wasn't an easy decision, but this is the truth. It was very hard for her."

Her request comes less than a week after she filed for divorce from the A-lister citing irreconcilable differences. The couple did not have a prenuptial agreement in place. Heard is asking for spousal support, according to the divorce documents, but Depp has requested that it be denied.

"Given the brevity of this marriage and the most recent and tragic loss of his mother, Johnny will not respond to any of the salacious false stories, gossip, misinformation and lies about his personal life," Depp's rep told E! News. "Hopefully the dissolution of this short marriage will be resolved quickly."
