If you've ever dreamed of getting that little blue check mark on your Twitter page, you're going to want to read this piece. The social site just made it a heck of a lot easier to get verified than it was before. Whether you want to join an exclusive Twitter club full of your favorite stars, or just look really important on the Internet, we can tell you how to do it.

Listen up! If you've got a phone number, bio, profile pic, header, birthday, website and a Twitter account that isn't set to private (we know, that's a lot), you might be able to get that blue seal of Internet approval. Honestly, that is my life goal.

Twitter rolled out an easily accessible application for users to complete if they think they should be verified. Twitter will ask you why you think so, and what sort of influence you have in your field. Their support page also notes, "We approve account types maintained by users in music, acting, fashion, government, politics, religion, journalism, media, sports, business, and other key interest areas." If your account falls into one of those categories, and you think you've got an important social presence, give the application process a shot. Verification is available to both individual and company accounts as well. BRB, going to apply even though I personally have like four followers.
