Pokémon Go has taken over. Look to your left while on the street and chances are there's somebody trying to capture a Pidgey, hurling balls on their phone screens. It's alarming, and fodder ripe for Julie Klausner and Billy Eichner and their alter egos, the struggling comics and professional snarky friends Julie Kessler and Billy Epstein, to take on in their Hulu series Difficult People.

"I still don't understand Pokémon Go and I had somebody explain it to me three times yesterday," Klausner, star and creator of the Hulu comedy, told E! News at the Difficult People season two premiere."I'm proud of not being able to understand it. And I do think yes, there's definitely something to like apps that people over 30 can't—it's like those tones that teenagers can hear and no one else can, like audio tones. That and Snapchat, to me are a complete mystery. Maybe there could be something with the two of us trying to get into something that we're completely too long in the tooth for."

Pokémon Go users walk around their surrounding areas, trying to capture Pokémon using augmented reality on their phones so it's like the Pokémon are right in front of them.

"Yeah, I know people are into that. I couldn't care less. Not on my radar except I see people talking about it. I'm not like a game person; I never played Candy Crush or anything of those," Eichner said. "It's just not my world…Is there any difference between Pokémon Go and Grindr? I don't think so."

When we pointed out that instead of looking "for ass" (to hook up), Pokémon Go users are looking for Pikachu, Eichner was quick to add: "Yeah, or maybe Pikachu's ass in an ideal world."

Season three, should there be a third season—what are you waiting for Hulu, is likely at least a year away, but that hasn't stopped Eichner from dreaming up scenarios for his character and Julie's to find themselves in. "I've always wanted to see Julie and I in the show go and play a comedy festival and maybe not be fully embraced by the other comedies or something. [Laughs.] You know how they have all these comedy tents at Coachella? Julie and I at Coachella could be interesting. Just not fitting in at all," he said.

Difficult People season two is now streaming on Hulu.
