It seems like the world is just one big hot millennial mess these days but we secretly love it. To add to our list of #firstworldproblems, "Selfie Elbow" is a real thing now, guys. Yes, an actual medical condition brought on by constant selfie taking. Recently, Today's Hoda Kotb told Elle.com she visited an orthopedist for pain in her elbow. When her Doc asked if she was engaging in sports like tennis or ping-pong, Kotb said no, but did mention she had been taking selfies. Mystery solved. It looks like SE is here to stay.

How can you tell if you have it? Just like Hoda, if you're an avid selfie taker and tend to experience pain in your primary pic-snapping elbow, you might have this modern medical condition that shows no sign of stopping. To be honest, who are we to judge? Thankfully, there's an easy fix that doesn't involve putting your phone down for good. Suggestions include switching arms, pre-selfie stretching (not a bad idea) or a selfie stick. It may sound silly, but if it protects you from injury, why not try it? Or maybe, just maybe, we just need to cool it with the cameras for a minute. Perhaps going outside and remembering what real life feels like could work just as well. Just a thought.
