Ciara found herself a good man in Russell Wilson!

Family comes first for the newlywed NFL star, and he couldn't be happier to have Ciara and her 2-year-old son Future Jr. in his life. During an event for his Why Not You Foundation on Tuesday, Russell gushed that his wife and his stepson are two of his biggest inspirations.

"She's been an inspiration since day one—since moment one," he said with a smile. "And her little one, too, just watching him. I was saying to somebody the other day being a stepfather is one of the most loving things you can do. You really learn how to love love, especially when it's not yours."

"You realize that every kid matters in this world," he continued. "Every person matters, every child matters, every heart matters, every soul matters, every mind matters.. That's why we're here honestly, for situations like that."

Last night's event raised at least $300,000 for the Why Not You Foundation—$100,000 of which was donated by Russell himself, according to the Seattle Times. The foundation, launched by the athlete in 2014, "is dedicated to creating real and lasting change in the world by motivating, empowering and preparing today's youth to be tomorrow's leaders," according to its website.

Russell really does seem to believe in building up the next generation. While hosting Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Sports Awards for the second year in a row, he was a total natural. His sign-off was sincere, too, as he proclaimed, "Kids you are the next generation. Keep believing, keep dreaming, keep going to school...Nickelodeon, I'm out!"
