It's not a goodbye, it's a see you later.
Perhaps that's just one of the many quotes going through Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos' head after sending their eldest son off to college.
Before arriving at any dorm room, however, the daytime talk-show host took to Instagram to share a photo of her three kids. And yes, 19-year-old Michael Consuelos was the main man on mama's mind.
"Saying goodbye to big bro, the college freshman," she shared on social media. "(Whilst conspiring to take over his bedroom.)"
While the famous family keeps Michael's college destination private, fans have received a glimpse into his transition from a high school senior to college freshman.
Back in June, several relatives and famous friends including Andy Cohen and Lucy Liu came together for a celebratory dinner in New York City. Kelly also took to Instagram to share a heartfelt photo from the graduation ceremony.
"The Graduate, his father, his brother, his grandfather," she wrote. "Congratulations HE! We are so proud."
As a new chapter begins in the family, Michael may want to watch his back. After all, mom has some serious ideas for when her son moves onto a college campus.
"We've got big plans for his bedroom, big plans," she joked during a recent episode of LIVE! With Kelly. "That bedroom is going to be turned into a mega closet before you can say ‘ university.'"
Something tells us Michael is still welcome home anytime.
