You know a villain is really creepy when he doesn't even have a real name!
The Tomorrow People is set to introduce viewers to its new big bad in tomorrow night's episode and we've got your exclusive first look at The Founder, played by Simon Merrells. That's right, he's just known as The Founder. We repeat: creepy!
In an exclusive clip from the CW hit's episode "Thanatos," Stephen (Robbie Amell) comes face-to-face with the man behind Ultra, the paramilitary group of scientists he's been working with alongside his uncle Jedikiah (Mark Pellegrino). Finally, we get to meet Jedikiah's boss!
Though he didn't found Ultra alone, The Founder tells Stephen he is "one of the few survivors." Of course, he goes on to reference Stephen's dead father Roger and his uncle Jedikiah, who has been kidnapped.
"My, what bad luck seems to follow your family around," he says. "I promise, it's only a matter of time before we locate him and bring his captors to justice. In the end, they will beg for mercy." Which may prove to be a problem for Stephen as it looks like his fellow Tomorrow People kidnapped Jed in order to get inside of his mind in the hopes of learning more about his father.
We recently chatted with Robbie Amell about the episode, which he calls "incredible. Mark is absolutely phenomenal in it, and it's my favorite episode I've seen so far. I think episode eight is going to be the turning point in this series, where it becomes less procedural and much more linear, like main plot line moving forward full-steam ahead for the rest of the season."
The Tomorrow People airs Wednesday at 9 p.m. on the CW.
