And...a-five, six, seven, eight!

The nominations are out for the 66th Annual Tony Awards, setting the stage for a toe-tapping, booty-shimmying showdown among Broadway vets and newcomers, not to mention enough star power to keep those marquees burning bright!

Front and center are flashy movie-to-stage adaptations like Newsies, Ghost the Musical and Once, which led the field with 11 nods, including Best Musical.

Hollywood was also amply repped with noms for Andrew Garfield, Cynthia Nixon and Philip Seymour Hoffman, among others.

But did Broadway's most headline-grabbing (and bone-breaking) show, Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, manage to swing any nods?

Guess Peter Parker's Spidey sense failed him: The controversial Julie Taymor–directed musical only managed to score two nods—Best Costume Design of a Musical and Best Scenic Design of a Musical.

Not such bad news for Once, though, which will square off for Best Musical against Newsies, Nice Work If You Can Get It and Leap of Faith.

In the Best Play race, anointed front-runner Clybourne Park will duke it out against Other Desert Cities, Peter and the Starcatcher and Venus in Fur.

The star-studded redo of Evita, starring Ricky Martin (who wasn't nominated), scored a nod for Best Revival of a Musical, and it'll go up against Follies, The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess and Jesus Christ Superstar.

The field for Best Revival of a Play, meanwhile, includes Gore Vidal's The Best Man, Master Class, Wit and Arthur Miller's Death of a Salesman.

That last play is pretty noteworthy for another victory: scoring a nod for a different Spidey. Garfield, who plays the webslinger in the upcoming The Amazing Spider-Man, snagged his first Tony nom, for Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role in a Play.

Speaking of star power, this year's lineup also included acting noms for Hoffman (Arthur Miller's Death of a Salesman), Nixon (Wit), James Earl Jones (Gore Vidal's The Best Man), Audra McDonald (The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess), Frank Langella (Man and Boy) and John Lithgow (The Columnist).

This year's show, which unspools on June 10, will be hosted by Neil Patrick Harris, who'll mark his third go-round as Tony Awards ringleader.

Bernadette Peters is scheduled to received the Isabelle Stevenson Award for her humanitarian work, while jack-of-all trades showman Hugh Jackman, whose recent show Hugh Jackman, Back on Broadway was a massive hit, will be fêted with a special Tony Award for his "contributions to the Broadway community."
