Well, there's no secret about how Barack and Michelle Obama are planning on spending their 20th wedding anniversary.

And while the first prime-time presidential debate, in which he'll face off against Mitt Romney, isn't exactly the romantic candlelight dinner other couples might enjoy, it's certainly par for the course for this most powerful of power couples.

But while their anniversary night may not be spent in the most lovey-dovey of ways, their anniversary morning certainly was.

"Twenty years ago today, I married the love of my life and my best friend," the president tweeted this morning. "Happy anniversary, Michelle. —bo"

Aw.

With sentiments like that, who needs speechwriters?

Michelle, too, wasn't shy about wearing her heart on her sleeve (or Twitter account), reciprocating his message not long after.

"Happy 20th anniversary, Barack," she tweeted. "Thank you for being an incredible partner, friend and father every day. I love you! —mo"

If that doesn't put an extra spring in his step and barb in his debate retorts, we don't know what will.

Happy anniversary, POTUS.
