Lots of people watch show. Show gets renewed. See, the TV business isn't so hard to figure out.

For example, 22.8 million people tuned in to NCIS on Tuesday night, and that's all the incentive CBS needed.

NCIS, TV's reigning No. 1 drama, has been renewed for a ninth season, while its star, Mark Harmon, has inked a two-year deal with the network. See what CBS' president has to say about the deal, and get the rest of your TV news roundup…

"It's simply amazing that a show in its eighth season continues to perform at such an elite level," Nina Tassler, president of CBS Entertainment, says in a statement regarding NCIS' pickup. "This is a tribute to the hard work of its talented writers, producers and cast for bringing to life such compelling stories and characters with intrigue and humor." See, kids. Science is cool!

Supernatural/Smallville: So, last week they bumped new episodes in favor of TVD and Nikita reruns (we know, we were miffed, too). But maybe this cool promo poster just released makes you feel a teensy bit better?

Gossip Girl: Sorry, Chuck Bass fans. Looks like Ed Westwick is ready to hang up his bow ties and ascots and leave the character behind. He tells U.K. magazine Tatler that he isn't connected to the character anymore and that he's "ready to do something else." Do you think he'll be the first castmember to go?

America's Next Top Model: Wanna meet the ladies vying for top model status? Of course you do. Check out the new girls in stilettos and get ready for the new season of ANTM premiering Feb. 23.

Glee: Check out this clip of the dangerous Cheerio stunt Sue is dead set on performing in the Super Bowl episode. And Brittany has one condition before participating in the stunt. Hint: This condition might come true this year.

Lifetime: What better way to celebrate a royal wedding then a Lifetime movie on the happy couple?  Kate Middleton must be so honored, especially since the girl just picked for the role of Kate is just as attractive as the real one. Camilla Luddington (CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, The Defenders) has been cast as Kate in the Lifetime movie William & Kate. The part of the prince was cast last week:  Nico Evers-Swindell (NCIS: Los Angeles, Law & Order) will be taking on the role.
