Craig Ferguson knows how to keep his guests happy!

When Zoe Saldana stopped by The Late Late Show Wednesday, he presented the pregnant Book of Life star with a food tray. "You look great," he said, pointing to her baby bump. "What's going on with you?"

"I don't know," joked Saldana, who is expecting twin boys. Ferguson replied, "Wow! It's not long now."

"No, I still have a ways to go," Saldana said. "We have maybe eight more weeks or something. I feel great." The 36-year-old actress then thanked Ferguson for the food, admitting, "I'm hungry all the time!"

"I've been around pregnant women before," he said.

"Would it look really obnoxious if I just grabbed a rib and [chowed down]?" Saldana asked the late-night host. "I have to say, nothing makes me happier than to see a pregnant woman eat. Especially in L.A.!"

"Seeing a woman in L.A. is quite a thing!" Ferguson joked.

Saldana said, "It's true! I was never the salad type."

Ferguson revealed that he's been a vegetarian for "three weeks," adding that smell of ribs was tempting him to give up. The comedian then asked Saldana if she'd ever tried vegetarianism, to which the Avatar actress replied, "For one period—for one season—I lost the taste of meat so I was just having lentils and quinoa, but then there was a bad night where I had too much to drink and I ended up at In-N-Out."

Saldana also thanked Ferguson for his frequent compliments. "The best thing a pregnant woman can hear is the word 'sexy," the movie star said. "It's like, 'Oh, you think I'm sexy? Yes! I'm sexy.' You know?"

"You've got to be careful. It's gotta be like the dad who's saying that," Ferguson joked. "It can't be some random dude going, 'Hey, you're pregnant! Let's get it on!'" Saldana laughed and said, "No, that's weird...But I mean, like, 'Oh, my God! You look so hot and beautiful!' Usually I'm...an activist and [a supporter of] women's rights. I'm like, 'Excuse me, do not objectify me!' or whatever, but now that I'm pregnant, I'm kind of itching for sexy compliments." Marco Perego's wife clarified, "Not getting picked up, because my husband will kill you. But like, you know, 'Your wife is looking really hot.' We like that!"

Ferguson then addressed Perego, who was not on camera. "I've got to be honest. This is not the first time it's happening," he said. "Your wife has looked really hot for a while, as you are well aware, sir."

As she continued to nosh, Saldana said she hasn't had any unusual pregnancy cravings. "You'd be surprised—I'm just hungry. It feels good. Food just tastes so delicious. It really does. It's really good. You trick yourself, working in Hollywood, going, 'That burger's disgusting. A burger's awful.' But now that [I'm] pregnant [I'm] like, 'I could eat all this—together!—at the same time,'" the mom-to-be said, pointing to the tray. "Like, I could have the pickle with the donut and it would probably be life changing."

Suffice to say, she hasn't sent Perego on any last-minute food runs. "In the middle of the night I don't wake up [with cravings]. I've been watching a lot of crime shows, though," Saldana shared. "I don't know why. Murder mysteries. I'm solving the case and it's like 2 o'clock in the morning because that's one of the gifts of being pregnant—sometimes you just can't sleep. So, I find myself watching 48 Hours Mystery or Dateline with Lester Holt. My husband wakes up and I'm just like, 'He totally did it! She did it!'"

At the end of the interview, Ferguson presented Saldana with cheese pizza.

"It's like a New York slice!" she raved. "It's so good!"
